The Blue Ice Mission Light is a UHMWPE climbing sling built for climbers and alpinists who weigh every gram. UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, the same material family as Dyneema) achieves a 22kN rating at 8mm width and just 18g for the 60cm length — roughly half the weight of a comparable nylon sewn sling. Soft, flexible, and rated to full climbing standard, it works as a runner, anchor component, or extension across all three lengths.

• UHMWPE construction — the same fibre family as Dyneema and Spectra, used here in an 8mm braid for a strength-to-weight ratio that nylon cannot match at this width.
• 22kN rated — full-strength load rating across all three lengths.
• Three lengths — 60cm (18g), 120cm (32g), 180cm (48g), covering single runners, alpine draws, and extended anchor setups from a single product line.
• Soft and flexible — the braid is smooth and pliable, sitting neatly in a rack or gear loops without the stiffness of some ultralight webbing slings.

Note on abrasion: UHMWPE is more susceptible to abrasion on sharp rock edges than nylon webbing. Inspect regularly and retire if the braid shows surface wear, cuts, or glazing.
